Ashaws, the Special Forces operating under the Rapid Support Forces, conducted a significant and highly successful operation, the armed forces said in a statement on Monday.
The focus was on dismantling the gatherings of the Burhan forces and remnants of the former regime in the Kadro area, along with targeting a weapons camp situated north of Bahri.
The precise execution of the operation resulted in the destruction of 23 enemy combat vehicles, including three equipped with heavy artillery, it said.
The toll on the opposing forces was severe, with over 280 individuals killed and wounded while assault also led to a considerable dispersal among the extremist remnants’ forces, according to RSF.
Continuing their proactive approach, the Ashaws Special Forces conducted another qualitative operation within the Karari area.
This operation resulted in the destruction of two 130 artillery pieces and two mortars.
The Ashaws forces persist in carrying out these operations on multiple fronts, strategically targeting the fortifications and concentrations of terrorist remnants, according to RSF.
These remnants pose a significant threat to the security and stability not only of Sudan but also the broader region, RSF says.
