Chad has vehemently denied allegations of supplying weapons to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a fighting group involved in a protracted conflict with al Burhan’s army (SAF).
The Sudanese government has accused Chad of facilitating the delivery of military equipment from the United Arab Emirates to the RSF, a claim both Chad and the UAE have refuted.
The conflict in Sudan has had a devastating impact on the region, with tens of thousands of deaths and millions facing food insecurity.
Chad has been particularly affected, hosting over 680,000 refugees from Sudan.
Despite these challenges, Chad maintains its stance of neutrality in the conflict, insisting that it supports peace and has no interest in escalating the violence.
The foreign minister and government spokesman, Abderaman Koulamallah, has repeatedly denied any involvement in arming the RSF.
