The Ethiopian Defense Ministry has categorically denied reports of a military helicopter crash in the northern city of Bahir Dar.
The ministry dismissed the claims as “bankrupt propaganda” by the country’s enemies.
The alleged incident was reported on Saturday, with no details on casualties or the cause of the crash.
However, the ministry clarified that a temporary suspension of a helicopter flight had been misinterpreted as a crash.
The denial comes amid ongoing clashes between government forces and the Fano militia in the Amhara region.
