Sudan’s “Founding Alliance” government or TASIS has vowed to safeguard citizens’ rights and dignity following the Rapid Support Forces’ takeover of El Fasher.
TASIS Interior Minister Suleiman Sandal has said that anyone violating the law in the city would be held accountable, stressing that all directives from RSF Commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo would be fully implemented.
He noted that the RSF had introduced a new code of conduct for its forces across all fronts and appointed commanders tasked with maintaining discipline and oversight.
Sandal added that the RSF is working to deploy police and other law enforcement agencies throughout the territories it now controls.
He also announced efforts to streamline coordination with international and national organisations, aiming to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to affected communities.
The city’s fall marks a pivotal moment in Sudan’s protracted conflict, signalling the RSF’s expanding grip across Darfur and testing its promises of stability and accountability in the war-torn region.
