SAF sources told Al Arabiya that SAF’s air force has carried out a series of intense airstrikes on Rapid Support Forces positions in the towns of Abu Zabad and Al Nuhud, in North and West Kordofan. The operations come amid a renewed military escalation between the two sides.
The sources said the strikes are part of a broader plan to restrict the Rapid Support Forces’ movements in central and western regions, following reports that the group has brought in new reinforcements and begun field manoeuvres in the area.
At the same time, General al-Burhan’s army (SAF) has sent large reinforcements toward the cities of El Obeid and Bara. The deployment aims to strengthen defensive lines and prevent any RSF advances.
