Khalfan links Sudan’s Islamic Movement to betrayal of Arab nation

Dubai Police Deputy Chief Dhahi Khalfan launched a series of sharp criticisms against the Muslim Brotherhood across the Arab world, including Sudan’s branch, locally known as the “kizan,” as well as Yemen’s Houthi movement. His comments were shared on his official X account, formerly Twitter, highlighting his long-standing view that these groups threaten regional stability.

Khalfan wrote: “May God protect Sudan from every kizani, Yemen from every Houthi, and the Arab homeland from every Brotherhood member, a triangle of betrayal against the nation,” reflecting his position that these groups destabilize the Arab world and pose a broad regional threat.

He also criticized Sudan’s Muslim Brotherhood directly, stating: “The kizan accuse the UAE of killing Sudanese. We say why? You are fighting among yourselves and blame the UAE.” Khalfan’s remarks underscored his rejection of what he considers unfounded accusations against the UAE, framing Sudan’s conflict as an internal dispute among rival factions.

Separately, Khalfan praised US President Donald Trump’s decision to designate certain branches of the Muslim Brotherhood as foreign terrorist organizations. On X, he commented: “Brotherhood remnants on terror lists, the best decision by the US president serving global peace,” signaling his support for international measures targeting the group to enhance regional and global security.
