RSF accuses Muslim Brotherhood of stoking unrest in Chad border

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said they are closely monitoring what they stated as attempts to inflame tensions along the border with Chad.

In a statement, the RSF accused the Muslim Brotherhood and allied military elements of seeking to provoke unrest through coordinated actions.

The group rejected media reports alleging its forces had targeted Chadian troops, describing the claims as misleading and politically motivated.

According to the statement, an attack in the Al-Tina area was carried out by what the RSF described as the Muslim Brotherhood’s air force.

The RSF accused its rivals of spreading false narratives to evade responsibility and deepen regional instability.

Such tactics, the statement said, are routinely used to fuel discord and undermine security in border regions.

The RSF reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining strong relations with neighbouring countries, particularly Chad.

It said cooperation with Chad remains essential for shared security, peace and long-term regional stability.

The statement concluded with a pledge to protect civilians, secure national borders and prevent attempts to ignite a wider conflict.
