RSF accuses Burhan’s army of a cowardly attack on civilians

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) issued a scathing statement, accusing General Abdel Fattah al Burhan’s army of a “cowardly” attack.

The group said that their rivals targeted civilians at the Kilo market within the Sarf Umra transportation hub.

According to the RSF spokesperson, the violent strike in Central Darfur State resulted in thirteen fatalities and six serious injuries.

Eyewitness accounts corroborated reports of several shops and civilian properties being incinerated during the midday assault on the busy hub.

The RSF characterized the incident as systematic terrorism, claiming the opposition’s actions threaten the very social fabric of the nation.

For three decades, the RSF has warned of extremist groups whose regional repercussions now pose a grave international security risk.

The statement condemned the targeting of infrastructure in the strongest terms, calling for a unified global response against such atrocities.

The RSF urged the international community to officially designate their opponents as a terrorist organization to curb ongoing regional instability.

They further emphasized their commitment to a future Sudanese state built upon the principles of the 2025 Sudanese Constitution.

This proposed legal framework promises to guarantee freedom, justice, and equality for all citizens once the current conflict concludes.

The official spokesperson concluded by offering prayers for those they termed “righteous martyrs” who perished in the Zalingei market fire.

The conflict continues to escalate as both sides trade accusations of human rights violations and the deliberate targeting of non-combatants.
