Around 2,690 people have been displaced from Mustariha in North Darfur, according to field teams from the Displacement Tracking Matrix.
Rising insecurity in the area has forced families to flee their homes, seeking safety across Kabkabiya locality.
Displaced residents have scattered to various locations, as the tense situation continues to evolve rapidly.
Matrix teams said they will continue monitoring the crisis and provide partners with regular updates on population movements across Sudan.
Local sources reported that dozens fled the Mustariha desert, the stronghold of Sheikh Musa Hilal, on foot on Monday.
The exodus follows battles between the Revolutionary Awakening Council and the Rapid Support Forces, which have now taken full control of Mustariha desert after fierce clashes.
Resident Suleiman Ahmed said dozens of women and children arrived in Kabkabiya, where they were temporarily sheltered in local schools.
Ahmed warned that the displaced face urgent shortages of food, medicine, and shelter, highlighting a growing humanitarian crisis.
Authorities and aid organisations are being urged to act quickly to support families fleeing the violence.
