The impact of Iran’s war is reaching Sudan, where a worsening fuel shortage and rising prices are deepening hardship for millions.
A report by German broadcaster Deutsche Welle said global attention has shifted away from Sudan as Middle East tensions escalate, leaving its humanitarian crisis increasingly neglected.
Fuel and cooking gas shortages, coupled with collapsing purchasing power, have driven sharp price increases and strained household incomes.
Disruptions to shipping routes and airspace closures have slowed humanitarian aid deliveries, worsening conditions in a country already facing famine risks.
Analysts said Sudan’s internal conflict is increasingly influenced by regional rivalries, raising concerns the country could be drawn further into wider geopolitical tensions.
The report warned that declining international engagement risks deepening one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises.
