The Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) said on Wednesday that a drone strike on Um Dukhun in Central Darfur killed 20 civilians and injured 17 others.
In a statement, TASIS accused elements of the General Abdel Fattah al Burhan’s army linked to the Muslim Brotherhood of continuing attacks on civilians in areas under the control of the Peace Government.
The alliance said the drone strikes hit the city of Um Dukhun, causing significant civilian casualties and widespread destruction.
It extended condolences to the families of the victims and wished a swift recovery to those injured.
TASIS described the targeting of civilians as a war crime under international humanitarian law, saying the attacks reflect what it called systematic violence.
The group urged the international community to take stronger and more decisive action in response to the reported violations.
It also said its forces reserve the right to respond to ongoing attacks and continue operations against armed groups.
