RSF initiates major search op to find killers of farmers

Gunmen on motorcycles shattered the fragile peace of South Darfur’s agricultural heartland, killing three innocent farmers.

The deadly assault unfolded in the Al-Qubadh fields, located roughly 160 kilometers south of the regional hub of Nyala.

Without attempting to steal any property, the assailants opened fire directly on the farmers before fleeing the bloody scene.

In the wake of the tragedy, determined local residents organized a search party to chase down the fleeing attackers.

Their swift efforts led to the capture of three suspects, who were promptly handed over to the competent authorities.

Among the victims of this senseless violence was Mohammed Ahmed Abu Sin, whose grieving family now demands swift justice.

Investigating officers are currently working to trace the route of the armed group and determine their exact motives.

This latest tragedy highlights a disturbing surge in violence, armed robbery, and highway attacks across southern South Darfur.

Just last month, two other men were fatally shot in the area while transporting agricultural equipment between towns.

Despite recent security reinforcements deployed by the Rapid Support Forces, local roads remain perilous for vulnerable rural communities.

According to local sources, at least nine people have been killed near Buram locality within the last 45 days.

The blood-soaked soil of Al-Qubadh stands as a grim reminder of the deteriorating security crisis gripping the region.
