The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned renewed Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait and Jordan with missiles, as well as a drone strike on Egypt’s Damietta port.
In a statement carried by the state-run Emirates News Agency, WAM, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attacks as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of fellow Arab states and a threat to their security and stability.
The ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with Kuwait and Jordan and expressed support for all measures taken by the two countries to protect their security and stability.
UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also held a telephone call with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi to discuss regional developments and the broader situation in the Middle East.
During the call, the two ministers strongly condemned the renewed Iranian missile attacks targeting Jordan.
Sheikh Abdullah reiterated the UAE’s full solidarity with Jordan and its support for efforts to safeguard the kingdom’s security and stability.
In a separate call with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Sheikh Abdullah strongly condemned the drone attack that targeted the Egyptian port of Damietta.
He reaffirmed the UAE’s solidarity with Egypt and its support for measures aimed at protecting the country’s security and stability.
The two ministers also discussed developments across the Middle East and ways to strengthen regional and international efforts to promote security and stability.
