Allegations that Sudan’s Armed Forces used chemical weapons were raised at a meeting with British MPs in Parliament, according to a Blue News report published on Tuesday.
Al-Goni Mustafa, representing the TASIS-backed administration, discussed the allegations and the influence of Islamist networks within Sudan’s state institutions, the outlet reported.
It said Sharon Hodgson hosted the meeting, attended by six British MPs and Sudanese rights advocate Anas Hamdan.
Participants called for independent investigations, accountability and stronger protection for civilians. They also urged greater British engagement with war-affected communities, including in Nyala, according to the report.
The meeting’s date and attendance could not be independently confirmed. The report did not establish that Parliament had opened an inquiry or endorsed the allegations.
The chemical weapons issue has already prompted US action. In May 2025, Washington announced sanctions after determining that Sudan’s government had used chemical weapons during 2024.
Sudan’s army-aligned authorities have denied using chemical weapons.
