The share of US voters who say they side more with Israelis than Palestinians in the Gaza conflict has fallen to its lowest level recorded by Fox News polling since the war began, according to a new survey.
The poll found that 48% of registered voters said they sided more with Israelis, while 38% said they sided more with Palestinians. Support for the Israeli side was down from 54% in June and 68% in October 2023, when 18% of respondents said they sided more with Palestinians.
The shift was particularly pronounced across several demographic groups. Since October 2023, the share siding with Israelis has fallen by at least 20 percentage points among women, Hispanic voters, people under 45, college graduates and Democrats, according to Fox News. Among Republican voters, it declined by 10 points over the same period.
The survey also indicated growing public dissatisfaction with US President Donald Trump’s handling of the war with Iran.
Seventy-one percent of voters said the Trump administration did not have a clear strategy for ending the conflict, while 60% said the decision to take US military action against Iran was wrong. Thirty-seven percent said the decision was right.
Fox News conducted the survey from September 11 to 14 among 1,211 registered US voters selected from a national voter file. Interviews were carried out by telephone and online, and the poll had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points.
