
The Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, arrived this morning in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa where he is scheduled to hold talks with Ethiopian officials.
His visit was marked by a reception at Bole International Airport, where he was warmly received by Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister Demken Mekonnen and other several high-ranking state officials in an official ceremony held in his honor.
After touching down in the capital, RSF leader promptly engaged in formal deliberations with the Ethiopian deputy prime minister.
The discussions centered on the ongoing developments in Sudan, emphasizing efforts aimed at halting the conflict and reinstating peace and stability within the nation.
Expressing his appreciation, Dagalo extended gratitude to the Ethiopian government and its citizens for their support toward the Sudanese populace and for providing refuge to those displaced by the conflict.
RSF chief underscored Ethiopia’s consistent solidarity with Sudanese people, emphasizing the enduring historical bonds that unify the populations of both countries.
Ethiopian Deputy PM Mekonnen extended a warm welcome to Dagalo and conveyed anticipation for the cessation of the conflict in Sudan and the subsequent restoration of stability in the region.
