Five rescue workers killed in Libya road accident, says Greek minister

Five individuals, including two civilians, who were part of a Greek humanitarian aid mission, tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Libya on Sunday, Greek defence minister said in a statement released on Monday.

Minister Nikos Dendias has declared three days of national mourning within the Greek Armed Forces in response to the tragic incident.

Othman Abduljaleel, the health minister for the Libyan eastern government, confirmed during a televised news conference on Sunday that four individuals had lost their lives, while 15 others sustained injuries, with seven of them in critical condition.
