Health concerns prompt pause in Egyptian PM’s news conference

Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly experienced a health scare during a live televised news conference on Wednesday.

The 58-year-old leader felt dizzy and paused his remarks briefly before resuming.

According to government spokesperson Mohamed el-Homsani, the prime minister had been working long hours and was recovering from a recent cold.

The spokesperson assured the public that Madbouly was feeling better after a short rest.

Madbouly was discussing President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s recent diplomatic engagements when the incident occurred.

The prime minister is scheduled to attend an important economic summit in Cairo on Thursday, where he will host leaders from eight countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iran, Nigeria, and Turkey.
