The largest Hindu temple and cultural complex in the southern hemisphere has been inaugurated in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The opening ceremony on Sunday was attended by many devotees who participated in rituals to consecrate the temple.
The Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) denomination built the temple.
They plan for the site to serve as a hub for interfaith dialogue and cultural exchange.
In addition to its religious significance, the temple will offer courses in various subjects and serve as a base for BAPS charities.
