President Ramaphosa vows solidarity with oppressed regions

South Africa’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, vowed on Monday to keep supporting Palestine, Cuba, and the Western Sahara.

He stated his country’s solidarity with these oppressed regions remains unwavering.

During a parliamentary debate, Ramaphosa emphasized South Africa’s commitment to backing Palestine, Western Sahara, and Cuba.

He reaffirmed his country’s stance on these issues despite international challenges.

The president highlighted the recent International Court of Justice (ICJ) advisory opinion that deemed Israel’s occupation of Palestine and West Bank settlements illegal.

He stated South Africa supports the Palestinian right to self-determination.

Ramaphosa noted that the ICJ ruling reflects growing global opposition to Israel’s actions against Palestinians.
