Protesters held signs praising Trump and condemning South Africa’s land reform law, which Trump’s recent order called discriminatory against Afrikaners.
The South African government denies targeting white landowners, saying the policy addresses historical injustices without forced removals or racial bias.
President Cyril Ramaphosa defended the law, insisting it aims to correct apartheid-era land dispossession affecting Black South Africans.
Elon Musk has also accused the government of being anti-white after his company, Starlink, failed to secure a license due to affirmative action rules.
While racial tensions persist, South Africa’s government includes diverse political parties navigating the country’s complex past.
