Turkish FM attends Arab League summit, discusses Gaza

Cairo hosted the 162nd Arab League Council of Foreign Ministers meeting on Tuesday.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan engaged with several international officials during the summit.

Fidan discussed future relations and high-level visits with EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry highlighted these talks on social media platform X.

Fidan also met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

Additionally, discussions were held with Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.

The meetings addressed the ongoing Gaza crisis and potential solutions for what is described as “genocide in Palestine.”

Turkey’s renewed involvement in the Arab League marks its first participation in 13 years.

This engagement reflects Ankara’s shifting focus in Middle Eastern and North African geopolitical dynamics.
