UK pledges over $100 million to tackle migration in Africa

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced an £84 million (nearly $109 million) funding package for humanitarian and development projects in Africa and the Middle East to address the migration crisis.

This includes health support, skills training, and education.

Starmer emphasized standing with Ukraine in its conflict with Russia and the importance of European security.

The UK will increase its presence at Europol to combat illegal migration.

Starmer criticized the previous government’s handling of the small boats crisis and described their Rwanda scheme as a failed gimmick.

He expressed pride in the summit’s outcomes and the essential collaboration with European partners.
