During meetings with officials from numerous African nations, Sybiha underscored the detrimental impact of Russia’s war on global food systems, significantly affecting Africa.
He asserted that achieving a just peace in Ukraine would inherently serve the interests of the African continent.
Sybiha highlighted Ukraine’s eagerness to broaden collaboration in crucial sectors like agriculture, education, and technology with various African partners.
Ukraine also offered its expertise and technological resources to support initiatives such as Angola’s Lobito Corridor and Gambia’s pursuit of agricultural self-sufficiency.
In a significant diplomatic development, Ukraine established formal relations with Somalia, pledging ongoing support through its Grain from Ukraine initiative.
Sybiha also conveyed Ukraine’s ambition to deepen its institutional connections with the African Union.
He extended invitations to several African counterparts to visit Ukraine in the near future, signaling a commitment to strengthened bilateral ties.
