
China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Namibia on Monday, marking the first leg of his annual tour of African nations.
During his visit, Wang met with Namibian President-elect and Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, reaffirming China’s commitment to its partnership with Africa.
“China and Africa’s relationship is characterized as an all-weather community with a shared vision for the future,” Wang stated, emphasizing China’s position as a reliable ally for African nations.
Wang’s tour will also include visits to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, and Nigeria, further strengthening China’s diplomatic ties across the continent.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry emphasized that this annual tradition of beginning the year with an African tour reflects the enduring and vital nature of China-Africa relations.
This visit underscores China’s continued engagement with Africa and its commitment to fostering strong and mutually beneficial partnerships with nations across the continent.
