Workers at Seplat Energy, Nigeria’s largest independent oil producer, suspended their strike after the company promised pay increases.
The strike began Friday amid stalled wage talks, raising concerns over oil output during rising global energy prices.
PENGASSAN directed members to halt industrial action while negotiations on a 2026 collective bargaining agreement continue, aiming to conclude by April 13.
Seplat confirmed operations are resuming and negotiations will continue within an agreed framework.
The company targets production of 155,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day this year, up from 131,506 boepd last year.
Seplat remains a major gas supplier for Nigeria’s domestic power market, supporting electricity generation amid ongoing energy pressures.
