21 Arab-Muslim nations condemn Israel’s strikes on Iran

Twenty-one Arab and Muslim nations jointly condemned Israel’s airstrikes on Iran, urging regional de-escalation, nuclear disarmament, and adherence to international law.

This initiative, led by Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, included Türkiye, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, among others.

The foreign ministers explicitly condemned Israel’s attacks on Iranian territory as violations of international law and the UN Charter.

The joint statement emphasized respecting national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and good neighborliness, advocating for peaceful dispute resolution.

Ministers also expressed “deep concern” over the dangerous escalation, warning of serious consequences for regional security.

They called for an immediate halt to Israeli hostilities against Iran and comprehensive de-escalation leading to a ceasefire.

Regional tensions have surged since Friday, when Israel launched airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities, prompting Tehran’s retaliation.

Israeli authorities claim at least 24 people died and hundreds were injured in Iranian missile attacks, while Iran reports 224 killed and over 1,000 wounded in the Israeli assault.
