Since last October, the ongoing Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip has resulted in the death of at least 37,296 Palestinians, according to the Health Ministry in the besieged enclave.
In a statement on Saturday, the ministry reported that 85,197 others have been injured during the relentless onslaught spanning over eight months.
“Israeli attacks claimed the lives of 30 people and injured 95 others in the past 24 hours,” the statement detailed. “Rescuers are facing challenges reaching many who are trapped under rubble or stranded on roads.”
Israeli actions since a cross-border attack on October 7, which resulted in 1,200 deaths, have also exacerbated a humanitarian crisis and prompted an ongoing trial at the International Court of Justice over allegations of genocide.
