A Russian passenger plane carrying 236 people was forced to make an emergency landing in Egypt on Friday after experiencing a technical malfunction shortly after takeoff.
The Ural Airlines Airbus A-321, en route to Yekaterinburg, Russia, encountered an engine issue approximately 10 minutes after departing from Sharm el-Sheikh Airport.
The pilot swiftly responded by requesting and executing an emergency landing at the airport.
All passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft and transferred to the international terminal.
Egyptian aviation authorities have initiated an investigation into the cause of the engine malfunction and are conducting necessary repairs.
