On Sunday, a second convoy of humanitarian aid trucks entered the Egyptian side of the Rafah border crossing, en route to the Gaza Strip, as reported by Egyptian security and humanitarian sources at Rafah.
The sources indicated that approximately 17 trucks loaded with medical and food provisions underwent inspection by UNRWA, the United Nations’ agency for Palestinian refugees.
The first convoy of badly needed supplies entered Gaza on Saturday.
Following a lethal attack by Hamas on Israeli territory on October 7, Israel implemented a comprehensive blockade and conducted airstrikes on Gaza. Subsequently, the Rafah crossing had ceased operations, and the bombardments on the Gaza side resulted in the destruction of roads and buildings.
