
UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the United Arab Emirates will emerge stronger from the current conflict, emphasizing the country’s commitment to protecting its citizens and residents.
In remarks carried by the Abu Dhabi Media Office, Sheikh Mohamed said the UAE is currently “in a time of war” and pledged that the country would fulfill its duty to safeguard the nation and its people.
“The military institution in the United Arab Emirates has played an honorable role,” he said, adding that the country remains stable and supported by loyal citizens.
Addressing potential adversaries, Sheikh Mohamed said the UAE remains a strong and resilient nation despite the challenges posed by the conflict.
“I say to the enemy that the UAE is a beautiful country and a role model, but its skin is tough and its flesh is bitter and cannot be eaten,” he said, using a traditional expression to underline the country’s strength and resolve.
The UAE leader also reaffirmed that the government is fulfilling its responsibilities toward Emirati citizens and residents alike.
“We are doing our duty toward our people, our citizens and residents in the UAE, and I promise everyone that we will emerge stronger from this war,” he said.
Sheikh Mohamed concluded by thanking the country’s armed forces, security services and national teams for their efforts, while praising the awareness and unity shown by Emiratis and residents who have expressed support for the country.
