US strongly condemns attacks on Israel by Hamas ‘terrorists’

The White House issued a statement on Saturday, expressing unequivocal condemnation of attacks by “Hamas terrorists” against Israel, on behalf of the United States.

“The United States unequivocally condemns the unprovoked attacks by Hamas terrorists against Israeli civilians,” National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson said in a statement, adding that “there is never any justification for terrorism.”

According to the statement, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has held a conversation with Israeli National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi and intends to maintain close communication with Israeli counterparts regarding the ongoing operation.

“We stand firmly with the Government and people of Israel and extend our condolences for the Israeli lives lost in these attacks,” Watson added.

On Saturday, the Palestinian group Hamas initiated an attack on Israel, involving air, sea, and land actions.

Israel declared itself to be at war with Hamas in response to the unexpected dawn attack from the besieged Gaza Strip. According to medical sources, the attack has resulted in the deaths of at least 22 individuals on Israeli territory.
