Pakistan beats South Africa in ODI Series opener

Paarl, South Africa – Pakistan secured a thrilling three-wicket victory in the opening One Day International (ODI) against South Africa, thanks to a magnificent all-round performance from Salman Agha.   

Salman first showcased his bowling prowess, dismantling the South African top order with a crucial four-wicket haul, leaving the hosts reeling. 

He then displayed his batting brilliance, remaining unbeaten on 82 runs off 90 balls, guiding Pakistan to victory with three balls to spare.   

Earlier, opener Saim Ayub laid the foundation for the chase with a well-constructed century, scoring 109 runs off 119 balls. 

The victory marks a crucial step for Pakistan as they prepare for the upcoming Champions Trophy.   

South Africa, meanwhile, will be looking to regroup and bounce back in the remaining ODIs of the series.
