At least 125 civilians were killed or injured on Monday after a drone linked to SAF struck the Yabus area in Blue Nile state, according to local accounts.
The strike reportedly killed 93 people and wounded 32 others as residents were returning from markets and workplaces, the sources said.
The Sudan Foundational Alliance, known as Taasis, condemned the attack, describing it as part of what it called the continuation of Abdel Fattah al Burhan’s war, backed by the Muslim Brotherhood, against Sudan and its people, a conflict that has now entered its fourth year and exceeded 1,000 days.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the alliance accused Islamist factions of deliberately targeting unarmed civilians, insisting on prolonging the war and entering into arms deals to sustain their campaign against Sudanese communities, all in full view of the international community.
The statement added that the persistence of such attacks, and what it described as disregard for international efforts to end the war and protect civilians, should be met with firm and deterrent action by the global community.
Taasis said it remained committed to confronting those it described as responsible for the violence, pledging to protect civilians across Sudan’s cities, towns and regions, and to end what it called a campaign of terror until a ceasefire is imposed in line with the will of Sudanese people and international demands.
