Sudanese Armed Forces chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan travelled to the Eritrean capital on Friday for talks with President Isaias Afwerki, according to Sudan’s state news agency SUNA.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations and ways to expand cooperation and coordination between Sudan and Eritrea.
The two leaders also discussed strengthening ties in areas of shared interest to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples, the agency said.
SUNA described Al-Burhan’s trip as a “fraternal visit” but provided no further details about the discussions.
