Analyst Amani Al-Tawil warns Islamist policies deepen Sudan crisis

African affairs analyst Amani Al-Tawil has warned that the Islamist positions are worsening Sudan’s political and humanitarian crisis.

In a Facebook post, Al-Tawil urged leaders to prioritise national interests as citizens face severe shortages of food, water, and medicine.

She highlighted that ongoing unrest has displaced large numbers of people and left basic services in many regions in ruins.

Al-Tawil called on authorities to “fear God in the homeland and the people” while urgently protecting the most vulnerable civilians.

Her comments underscore a deteriorating humanitarian situation, with prolonged instability straining Sudan’s social and governmental systems.
