Six Sudanese civilians were killed and 11 injured Sunday when a drone, belonging to the General Abdel Fattah al Burhan’s army, struck a fuel storage yard in Al-Daein, East Darfur.
The blast, west of the central market, ignited nearby buildings, sending thick smoke over the area.
Among the dead were a woman and her children, while another victim died from smoke inhalation.
East Darfur has been under the Rapid Support Forces’ control since November 2023, amid ongoing clashes with Burhan’s army.
