China remains Sudan’s largest trading partner and has played a key role in developing the country’s infrastructure, energy, mining and telecommunications sectors.
The Sudanese government said it has introduced improved investment laws and financial incentives to attract more foreign investors.
Chinese customs exemptions for imports from developing African countries are also expected to expand bilateral trade and support Sudan’s economic recovery.
Sudan is seeking to use its rich agricultural and mineral resources to drive long-term growth and help build lasting peace.
Chinese companies expressed strong interest in participating in major development projects, including rebuilding essential infrastructure across the country.
The forum concluded with direct business meetings aimed at turning discussions into investment partnerships that could support Sudan’s reconstruction and economic development.
