Clashes intensify near Darfur’s Tina border

Field sources said RSF forces are engaged in intense fighting with remnants of the joint forces near the border area of Tina, as part of what was described as a decisive push to eliminate the remaining presence of the joint forces in Darfur, western Sudan.

According to the sources, securing control of Tina would effectively end the joint forces’ presence in Darfur, where their remaining elements have been stationed since suffering heavy losses in earlier battles.

These included clashes in Dreeshaqa last year, as well as fighting in El Fasher, Al Malha, and other locations that reportedly led to the collapse of the joint forces relied upon by SAF in its attempts to advance into Darfur and Kordofan, according to media.
