In a new video address, Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) leader Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, downplayed reports that General al-Burhan’s army (SAF) had entered key locations, including the military headquarters, the Signal Corps, the al-Jaili refinery, and Wad Madani.
Dagalo urged his forces not to be concerned about these claims, emphasizing RSF expelled the SAF out of contested areas before such as al-Mogran, the Central Bank, and Kafouri—signaling an escalation in hostilities.
“Do not think that they took the communications headquarters, the command center, Jili, or Madani. The focus should not be on what they have taken, but on what we aim to seize. Do not focus on Jili or Madani; the important thing is that the filter is fine, the lines are clear, and the gold is gold, while the counterfeit is counterfeit.”
“These people were in Khartoum, they were in Al-Muqran, at the Bank of Sudan, at the strategic sites, in Kafouri, we expelled them. We expelled them, we will expel them again.”
Directly addressing SAF leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Dagalo warned, “The conspiracy has not let you go yet,” appearing to suggest that al-Burhan is just a puppet of the Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood aka Islamic Movement.
“Al-Burhan you will be held accountable, you and those with you. People will hold you accountable and we will hold you accountable,” Dagalo said.
RSF leader once again underlined shows of support for al-Burhan and SAF do not represent the people but rather the privileged class whose material well being relies on SAF and Islamic Movement.
“These are the people who were given dollar in two pounds rate, white the people starved,” accusing the SAF of endemic corruption and market manupulation.
He also referenced the recent massacre in Wad Madani blaming the SAF for the killing of South Sudanese civilians. Expressing sorrow, he apologized to South Sudan on behalf of the Sudanese people.
Dagalo also revealed the location of 3 wanted international fugitives stating, “We are tracking Ali Karti, Ahmed Haroun, and Osama Abdullah, and their presence at the Military Academy and Wadi Sayidna.”
Karti and Haroun, both high ranking members of Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood, are facing charges by International Criminal Court (ICC) of war crimes and crimes against humanity related to the Darfur conflict.
All three individuals are listed on the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list, which includes individuals and entities subject to sanctions.
