Dagalo leads high-level delegation to Kampala on official visit

Sudan’s Presidential Council head, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, arrived in the Ugandan capital Kampala on Friday on an official visit, accompanied by a high-level delegation.

The delegation includes Deputy Head of the Presidential Council Abdelaziz Adam al-Hilu; council members Taher Abu Bakr Hajar, al-Hadi Idris Yahya, governor of Darfur region; Mabrouk Mubarak Salim, governor of East Sudan region; and Khaldi Fathi. Also accompanying the delegation are Prime Minister Mohamed Hassan Osman al-Ta’ayshi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim al-Mirghani, Foreign Minister Ammar Amom, Oil Minister al-Basha Mohamed al-Basha Tabeeg, and National Authority for Humanitarian Access head Ezzeldin al-Safi.

The delegation also includes Sultan Ahmed Ayoub Ali Dinar, a senior figure in the Sudan Founding Alliance.

Dagalo and his delegation were received at Entebbe Presidential Airport by Uganda’s Director of External Intelligence, Ambassador Joseph Okello, along with several Ugandan government officials.

According to an official statement, the visit aims to discuss bilateral relations between Sudan and Uganda and ways to strengthen cooperation across various sectors. The talks are also expected to focus on developments in Sudan following the April 15 war and its humanitarian repercussions on the Sudanese population.
