Doctors Without Borders condemned March 31 air raids by General Abdel Fattah al Burhan’s army in Nyala, South Darfur, hitting areas near the teaching hospital.
The organization said five wounded patients and one deceased arrived at its supported hospital, highlighting the attacks’ threat to civilian safety.
Ahmed Fadil, the emergency coordinator in Nyala, said strikes show disregard for international humanitarian law.
This follows an earlier attack on Al-Dha’in Hospital in East Darfur, which killed 70 people, including 15 children, underscoring risks to medical facilities.
Separately, Sudanese authorities announced the killing of Osama Hassan, TASIS leader, in a drone strike on his Nyala home.
Four others were wounded, and the Civil Democratic Alliance of Revolutionary Forces, “Sumud,” condemned the operation as a political assassination.
The coalition warned that targeting civilians and political figures worsens Darfur’s instability and deepens the cycle of violence across the region.
