Fifteen civilians were killed in drone strikes in Sudan’s North Kordofan state this week, according to the Emergency Lawyers Group.
The deadliest attack occurred on Monday when a drone struck a vehicle carrying people to a wedding in the Al-Shaatout area, east of Jabra Al-Sheikh, killing 13 people, including five women.
On Tuesday, another drone hit a vehicle transporting water near Hamra al-Sheikh, leaving two civilians dead.
The Emergency Lawyers Group did not identify those responsible but said the attacks reflect a growing pattern of strikes on civilians and essential infrastructure.
The group warned that persistent drone operations have spread fear, disrupted transportation and limited access to scarce water supplies, worsening humanitarian conditions across the region.
It said the deliberate targeting of civilians could amount to war crimes and called for an independent international investigation, accountability for those responsible and protection for civilians under international humanitarian law.
