Egypt-made ammo destined for Burhan seized: RSF

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said on Sunday that they have captured ammunition depots containing Egyptian-made weapons from the General Abdel Fattah al Burhan’s army in Kordofan.

Footage released by RSF shows crates marked “Arab Republic of Egypt” inside a seized military site in the region.

A field commander is heard declaring the site a key military hub, while RSF forces celebrate the discovery, citing it as proof of foreign backing.

The video includes clear labels showing “Shubra Company for Engineering Industries,” an Egyptian arms manufacturer, suggesting direct involvement from Cairo.

Analysts say the loss of such a cache is a strategic setback for al Burhan’s army and reveals deep cracks in its supply chain.

The RSF has used the footage to reinforce claims that the al Burhan’s army receives external military aid, potentially shifting regional perceptions.

So far, neither the al Burhan’s-led government nor the army have commented, a silence some interpret as quiet confirmation of the footage’s authenticity.

Military observers warn that the introduction of Egyptian arms into the narrative could internationalise the conflict and alter regional diplomatic balances.
