Sudanese citizens seeking consular services in Wadi Halfa have been advised of a brief schedule change at the Egyptian Consulate General, which will be closed on Thursday, January 29, due to an official public holiday.
The notice, covering the final week of January 2026, is intended to organise services and avoid confusion among visitors.
Consulate officials said the measure is part of ongoing efforts to streamline operations and maintain a clear, reliable public schedule.
The consulate reaffirmed its commitment to transparent communication and continued cooperation with Sudanese nationals.
Under the announced plan, passports of Sudanese citizens who have received visa approval will be accepted on Tuesday, January 27.
Passports bearing issued visas will be returned on Wednesday, January 28, to ensure smooth procedures and prevent unnecessary delays.
