Ethiopia accuses Sudan, Eritrea and Tigray Front of alliance

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has accused Sudan, Eritrea, and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front of coordinating a campaign targeting his nation.

Speaking before parliament’s 30th session, Abiy warned that these old adversaries have forged an alliance echoing the 1991 coalition that overthrew the Derg regime.

The Prime Minister used vivid imagery to describe the threat, branding the Tigray Front as the “head of the axe.”

He cast Eritrea as the “wooden handle,” while alleging an “invisible hand” of unnamed external actors moves the entire tool behind the scenes.

Sudan is integrated into this trilateral alliance, acting under the influence of foreign forces working to destabilize the Horn of Africa.

Despite the shadow of these coordinated movements, Abiy remained defiant about the immediate danger facing his country.

He stressed that modern geopolitical realities will prevent a repeat of history, ensuring Ethiopia’s sovereignty remains unthreatened.

The speech highlights escalating regional frictions as external interests continue to quietly shape local battle lines.
