General al-Burhan’s SAF intensify Sudan airstrikes and massacres

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and allied battalions linked to the extremist Islamic Movement have intensified their brutal campaign across Sudan, Rapid Support Forces announced on Monday.

Indiscriminate SAF airstrikes have claimed thousands of lives, displaced millions, and devastated critical infrastructure since the civil war began in 2023.

In one of the most shocking incidents, over 70 young volunteers providing humanitarian aid at community kitchens in the Halfaya suburb of Khartoum Bahri were executed by SAF forces aligned with the Islamic Movement jihadists, RSF said.

This atrocity was reportedly carried out by members of the al-Bara Battalion and SAF Military Intelligence, based on false accusations of the volunteers collaborating with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Video footage of the incident shows SAF personnel using racial slurs and issuing threats moments before the mass execution, an act that has reignited painful memories of Sudan’s past violence and repression.

The massacre in Khartoum Bahri is part of a broader campaign targeting specific ethnic and tribal groups, driven by what appears to be retaliation for military defeats the SAF has suffered since the outbreak of the conflict.

This violence reflects the deeply entrenched animosity of the Islamic Movement toward the Sudanese people, many of whom continue to resist the oppression.

The RSF, which opposes the SAF and its extremist backers, has vowed to document every war crime and human rights violation committed by these forces. They call on international organizations and human rights groups to urgently condemn the war crimes and ethnic cleansing being perpetrated by terrorist elements within Sudan’s military apparatus.

The RSF says they remain committed to its goal of liberating Sudan from the grip of what they describe as a genocidal regime, and to rebuilding the nation on principles of justice, peace, equality, and the rule of law.
