The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), supported by remnants of the former regime, carried out devastating airstrikes early Sunday in the regions of Melit and Khazan Gadid in North and East Darfur states.

In response to these allegations, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) vehemently condemned the attacks, attributing them to extremist factions tied to the former regime. RSF leader
Major General Dagalo emphasized the organization’s commitment to protecting civilians and combating terrorism, pledging to pursue those responsible for the atrocities.
“These barbaric acts must be met with international condemnation and swift action,” stated Dagalo in a press conference. “The RSF stands ready to cooperate with international bodies and regional partners to ensure justice for the victims and to dismantle the terrorist networks perpetuating this violence.”
