Idris reveals Minnawi’s meetings with RSF leaders in Paris, Addis Ababa

Dr. Al-Hadi Idris, a prominent leader in the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasees) and head of the Sudan Liberation Movement-Transitional Council (SLM-TC), disclosed details of recent meetings between Minni Arcua Minnawi and leaders of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

In an interview with Al-Jazeera, Idris revealed that Minnawi had attempted to broker a deal with the RSF to secure their support in the ongoing conflict in Sudan.

According to Idris, Minnawi traveled to Paris, where he met with RSF commanders, including 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo and his deputy, Lt. Gen. Abdel Rahim Daglo. However, despite discussions, no agreement was reached between the two sides.

Idris also confirmed that the RSF facilitated the evacuation of Minnawi, Jibril, and Agar from Khartoum amid the conflict. He further stated that Minnawi had been in ongoing contact with the RSF regarding financial matters, with a subsequent meeting held in Addis Ababa to discuss these issues.
