Tens of thousands marched through the streets of West Darfur’s capital on Monday to show support for the Peace and Unity Government and the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis).
Protesters chanted for a new Sudan built on freedom, peace, and justice, calling for a secular state founded on citizenship and equal rights, along with fair distribution of power and wealth and a transparent rule of law.
Speakers from the state’s Civil Administration and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) addressed the rally, pledging the Alliance’s commitment to building a just and impartial Sudanese state.
